Property Owners from Banff Trail and Capitol Hill have formed an Application Committee. It has been formed to collect information about the Land Use Application for the lands west of the Faith Lutheran Church (FLC) from the applicant, the City and concerned citizens to formulate a response that reflects the suitability of the application and the views of individuals from the community.
At this time, the Group is waiting for a response from Dorcas Housing Inc. and Ron Boruk, Architect. When asked at the open house at FLC, if changes to the application to reduce density and increase available parking were possible, DHI responded, “We will have to look at the numbers and get back to you.”
David Galoska, Planner II, from the City of Calgary, submitted a letter to Ron Boruk Architects requesting answers to several questions raised at the November 03rd Open House and FLC and DHI’s willingness to meet with the Application Committee.
Since then, the Group has met twice to compile and review letters of response from the members of the communities of Banff Trail and Capitol Hill. The Group is waiting for DHI’s response, before taking any action. At present, there is NO application on the table.
