Missing Community Event Sign

A week before any Banff Trail Community event, we place 6 outdoor signs to notify community residents of upcoming events. They are placed in conspicuous locations within our community. These are expensive, custom made signs.
Someone has STOLEN one of the signs advertising our Pancake Breakfast/Family Skate held on Saturday February 11th. It was on the corner of 24th Ave. and 23rd St. NW.
This is a call to the community to be on the alert for this sign. It may have been thrown somewhere in a back alley or just left lying around. If you see any anything that might look like our sign, please notify us by calling 403-282-2234.
The sign is 4 ft. by 3 ft. with large black letters displaying our name on a yellow and red background.

Another Fine Pancake Breakfast Family Skate Party

We weren’t sure we’d have any ice to offer for the second part of the event. But, just like every year, it can get cold during the winter in Calgary. This year the cold came at just the right time. After several days of very warm weather, the nights got cold and Steve and Llyal were able to build up the ice on the rinks. Thanks a bunch guys!!

There was never any doubt that the Pancake Breakfast would provide a wonderful time to everyone that attended. And more than 100 people did!

14 volunteers put in a few hours each to make this another memorable Banff Trail Community event. Thanks to Carolyn, Elena, Christos, Joe, Connie, Tomoyo, Lynn, Thalia, Heather, Dale, Mary Jean, Steve, John, Alfred and Rick. Able and willing, we all pitched in and wow, it was yummy!!

Many of you took the opportunity to renew your BTCA Membership at the event and this year parents were also able to register their children for spring soccer. We plan to offer the same options next year.

If you were able to join us, great! We’d like to hear what you thought of the event. Send your comments here. If you missed it this year, watch our website and the Howler for the date next year. This is an annual event!
